About SMMALZ

At SMMALZ, children don’t just learn math, they learn to think, problem-solve and grow in confidence.

Who we are

SMMALZ — Singapore Math Methods, Activities & Learning — was founded in 2023 to bring the Singapore Math approach to children aged 6–14, working hand in hand with families and schools. From our online programme and small-group enrichment classes to teacher training, workshops, private lessons and story-based math quests, everything we do is built to make maths make sense.

Our approach

We teach the Singapore Math way — moving from concrete to pictorial to abstract, so children truly understand before they calculate. Number bonds make mental maths intuitive, and the bar model helps children picture and solve word problems with confidence. For those who love a challenge, we also prepare children for competitions such as SASMO, AMO and SMC.

About Zoe

SMMALZ is led by Zoe, a Singapore Math specialist with 20+ years of experience in international classrooms. Her practice is evidence-based and deeply personal — she has supported children with learning differences such as dyscalculia right through to advanced learners preparing for competitions. Every session is tailored to the child in front of her: strengthening understanding, filling gaps and building confidence that lasts.
